Jimmy Yen is the Founder and CEO of Achieve Integrative Health, the largest integrative acupuncture clinic in Austin, TX, and Achieve Wealth Technologies, Inc. the most innovative Training company for Holistic Healthcare Practitioners.

Jimmy is a regular acupuncturist who came from humble beginnings and started his private practice in 2007, at the beginning of the Great Recession, with no money and a 6 figure debt. However, he turned it into the largest integrative acupuncture clinic in Austin, TX, a city saturated with 400+ acupuncturists and two acupuncture schools.

We all know that Acupuncture and Chinese herbs absolutely works, but how come some Acupuncturists are able to get quick results while others struggle?

The key is the Diagnosis.

When herbs don't work it’s not because of the herbs, it’s because you have the wrong TCM diagnosis. The way we were taught in Acupuncture school to determine the TCM diagnosis via questioning yields inconsistent results.

I know, because that’s what I used for the first 2 years of my career.

The problems I encountered with the questioning and differentiation technique were:

• Patients often have a hard time communicating what they are feeling
• Patients have different definitions of what it means to have optimal function, i.e. I’ve had many patients tell me their bowels are normal, even though they require laxative medications to keep them regular. If you don’t ask more questions, then you can miss this detail, which will affect your TCM Differentiation
• It takes way too long to come up with the TCM differentiation, and patients don’t like sitting in your office answering 100 questions
• The more questions I asked and the longer time I spent differentiating the TCM diagnosis, and the more my patients lost trust in me
